About Me
Howzit, as we say in South Africa. My name is Mark and I am a qualified English tutor having completed a number of TEFL courses plus the OET training course. I have taught in a variety of forums viz. schools in the Operational Area during my National Service in Namibia, training Candidate Attorneys in my employment to pass the Attorney's Board Exams, teaching in a TEFL Language school in Cape Town and, recently, providing in-person and on-line tutoring to adults. I specialize in Conversational and Business/Legal English for adults, assisting professionals across diverse industries and cultures to achieve fluency and confidence.
I work with learners from the Intermediate to C1 level. I offer lessons to meet your personal goals - whether you're preparing for a job interview, improving your communication at work, or simply wanting to speak more naturally and confidently.

Price List
For Conversational English the fee is PLN 55 per 60 minute lesson. Should you wish to commit to 5 lessons or more up front, the fee will be PLN 45 per 60 minute lesson.
For Exam Preparation and Business or Legal English Lessons the fee is PLN 65 per 60 minute lesson. Should you wish to commit to 5 lessons or more up front, the fee will be PLN 55 per 60 minute lesson. Please note that the fee for a lesson or bulk lessons will need to be paid into my PayPal account prior to the lesson.   
As regards the OET exam, please note that while I have no medical training, I specialized in personal injury work during my almost 20 years' experience as an attorney. During that time, I read more than my fair share of medico-legal reports and consulted with these medical professionals in preparation for trials. I believe that I am well placed to assist them to overcome this daunting hurdle. 
My teaching style is practical, and student-centered and based entirely on what is needed in your professional context. I focus on real-world English and use a range of resources, including authentic business materials and personalized exercises to accelerate your progress.
With my background as a Military Law Officer, Public Prosecutor and an Attorney plus as a business owner, I will assist you to build the mindset and confidence needed to succeed - not just in English, but in your professional journey.
On a personal note, I battled with Afrikaans as my second South African Language and my standard was diabolical when I left school. It was only during my two-years National Service that my standard improved. The SADF was a reasonably Afrikaans speaking environment at the time and I was forced to speak in Afrikaans and it really was a case of sink or swim. I managed to swim and as my confidence grew in using Afrikaans, so did my speaking and writing abilities. Furthermore, once I began to think in Afrikaans, I was well on the way. This may well offer scant consolation but I do empathize with any frustrations you may have on your English journey to fluency.
