Hi! My name is Tim and I’m a native speaker of English from England. I obtained a teaching qualification (CELTA) in Poland in 2004 and have been based full-time in Warsaw since 2007. I have taught very high profile clients and can offer you a highly professional approach to improving and expanding your English in the following areas:

Each student will get a full needs analysis and the first meeting is free. Lessons are always individually tailored to your specific needs. I also have my own registered company so can issue invoices if required.

I’m not one of those native speakers who will tell you I don’t do grammar, as I have expert knowledge of English grammar from having completed an MA in Linguistics, in addition to my extensive teaching experience. I also speak Polish to mid-intermediate level and can read Polish magazines and newspapers, so for those rare occasions when you cannot make yourself understood in English I can help you. Since I’m also an ongoing language student myself (of Polish), I appreciate the particular problems and difficulties learners of a foreign language face.

My original background was science (B.Sc. (Hons.) Astrophysics Degree and M.Sc. Computer Science). Then I switched to working in Computing and specialised in Finance (Banking), so I have had a separate professional career before becoming a teacher. Having worked in London for 10 years, I still retain an active interest in Finance and Markets and can discuss financial/economic concepts in depth.

I have an MA (Distinction) in Applied Linguistics TESOL from Leicester University in the UK, in addition to a CELTA , and I attend regular teaching conferences as part of my ongoing commitment to professional development. I am also a member of the two major English teaching organisations - IATEFL and BESIG.
