My name is Kris, Kristof or, yes .. Krzysztof.
I was born in Poland and I spent my childhood and youth in Wrocław. It was there that I graduated a Civil Engineering Technical School and I started to work as a technician. Some of you may remember December 1981. It was a difficult time not only for the general Polish population, but for young men like me in a very special way - we served Poland as soldiers and it was our turn to do it in hard circumstances. After The Martial Law or State was lifted my service was over, I returned to my civil engineeringjobs.

Yet…there was that temptation to do something else. So, I did it. I left Poland for a trip and returned … after 32 years.As it may seems unreal, so it was my life. Living abroad with no clear direction, no return ticket, is somewhat hectic and unpredictable. One thing I had soon realized that nothing was certain and I had to deal with it and improvise fast. Finding a place to stay, a place to make money and living among strangers were common everyday tasks.Getting married and later having a child were just two milestones and a warm-up before more serious steps. Jumping over the ocean and starting over again,a constant struggle to survive, meeting new people, securing new jobs and making new friends dictated a new system of being.

And time for change arrived once again - I returned to school starting my English education in a more formal way - High School was something like a Polish liceum, later College was like…hmm, perhaps Policealne Studium Zawodowe? ..yet, not the same. And sure, why not, University. Well, nine years in total..Academic English differs a bit from a street slang or local language variations. Language of law, medicine is not understood in any given country, so I had to adapt.Learning mathematics, politics, law, psychology, anthropology, sociology, English as language with writing and reading hundreds of required books…and alsostudying Computer Science demanded attention on various subjects like computer theory, programing, networking, database or graphics.And all this was done while working, looking after children and adjusting to family and marital life. Years went by and children grew up - first kindergarten, primary schools,high schools and later they attended universities. They started to work … and I saw history repeated itself - this time in lives of my children.

Yet, the destiny had its own plans and called me back to my mother land…I had to go back due to my family’s medical emergency. I spent a few years going back and forth crossing Atlantic many times in one year. And we succeeded - the illness was gone. God gave us a second chance. But I had to start over again my personal life. And professional one too.

Therefore, I invite you to meet me in a variety of ways, since the Covid pandemic is not over and forced us to use online or telephone means of communications.In my opinion, I can offer a unique opportunity to share my knowledge and experience gained over many decades of living abroad in teaching you English or just spend time having fun English conversation about my voyages or simple weekends, fishing expeditions or site seeing tours.

As a matter fact, we could talk about any subject you wish.I may add that I am confident with my ability to offer a substantial help with mathematics, Informatics, history or Polish language.With greetings,Kris
