Good Day!



My name is Jerome Washington. I live in Lublin, Poland (for the past 11 years, originally from Detroit, MI, USA). I have been teaching English for my entire time here in Poland.



I see that there are still people out there who have a great grasp of English but are afraid to speak. I believe now, more than ever, I want to help people reach their goals.



Currently, I'm in the midst of a career renaissance. My mission is to help people achieve their goals and, most importantly, start building confidence to speak and use the knowledge that they have worked tirelessly to gain, yet rarely use.



I am more of a mistake-driven teacher, meaning I foster an environment where anyone is allowed to make them, so that I can not only enforce proper techniques but also show a more relaxed approach to getting their message across. I see far too often where students only speak what the books tell them how to speak vs. just being themselves, and that’s where I thrive because as students see how authentic I am, in turn, they build the confidence to do the same.



Apologies if this message is too long, but I am so excited to embark on this next chapter of my professional life. I am the kind of teacher who doesn’t do this as a job; I’ve learned it is my passion. And the countless people I have helped improve their English over the years are a testament to my will to leave a lasting impression on the world.
