Hi there! I’m Olga, a CELTA-qualified English teacher with over 15 years of experience. I specialise in Business, Maritime, and General English, and I’m genuinely passionate about both teaching and learning.

In our classes, we can focus on:

• Interview preparation for different ranks and positions — from ratings and cadets to deck and engine officers
• Marlins and CES test preparation — typical tasks, maritime vocabulary, grammar, listening, and test strategies
• English for deck and bridge crew — bridge communication, navigation, watchkeeping, pilotage, mooring operations, cargo operations, and SMCP
• English for engine-room crew — machinery and systems, maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting, spare parts, tools, work permits, and communicating technical problems
• Safety and emergency communication — drills, fire, abandon ship, enclosed-space entry, accidents, incidents, and emergency procedures
• Maritime conventions and regulations — practical language connected with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM and other requirements you encounter at sea
• Everyday life on board — handovers, safety meetings, giving and understanding instructions, and communicating in a multinational crew
• Maritime documentation — understanding manuals, checklists, procedures, work orders, reports, permits, and technical correspondence

We won’t just learn lists of maritime terms. We’ll work with realistic onboard situations, practise the language in context, and focus on the expressions and communication skills you can actually use at sea.
