I'm Allison, an American English communication coach based in New York. I privately coach international professionals across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. By September, I'll have led over 1,000 one-on-one lessons, helping my clients to communicate effectively in American-facing workplaces and academic environments.

Poland's remarkable people and economic growth has engaged me! As Polish professionals and students increasingly work, study, and compete on the global stage, American English has become the standard they are measured against — not the British English that's more prevalent in schools. Together, we can go on an exploration of American English to help build your future.

Every 60-minute session is structured, focused, and built around how Americans actually speak:

·         Sentence rhythm and intonation — how Americans structure their thoughts in real conversation

·         Pronunciation — the sounds, reductions, and patterns that make American English recognizable

·         Idioms and cultural context - what Americans actually say, and what it means

·         Speaking confidence - expressing ideas clearly and naturally

·         American culture — the values, humor, references, and communication norms that shape how Americans think and interact

This is the English your textbook was never designed to teach, but that your future will expect!

SESSION STRUCTURE:

Each 60-minute session follows a consistent format, so students know exactly what to expect: Welcome and warmup (5 minutes), Pronunciation focus (15 minutes), Homework review (10 minutes), New topic (20 minutes), Questions and discussion (10 minutes), 

Sessions are conducted entirely in American English. Students are encouraged to speak from the first lesson.

GROUP DETAILS:

·         Maximum 8 students per group cohort

·         60 minutes per session, once per week

·         Join online via Zoom from anywhere in Poland

·         Sessions offered Monday through Thursday

·         Available time slots: 7:00pm or 8:15pm Polish time (Days will be determined in August)

·         September 2026 launch (pre-enrollment now open)

Private 1:1 sessions are also available for students who want additional individual focus or whose schedule does not fit a group slot.

ACADEMIC YEAR SCHEDULE:

Block 1: September 7 – January 16 (17 weeks)

·         Christmas break: December 23, 2026 – January 1, 2027

·         Winter break: January 19 – February 1, 2027

Block 2: February 2 – June 20, 2027 (17 weeks)

·         Easter break: approximately March 27 – April 4, 2027

Total: 34 teaching weeks aligned with the Polish academic calendar.

About me:

I'm a native American English speaker and communication coach from New York. As a high school National Honor Society member, I received the distinguished New York States Regents Diploma. After which, I graduated magna cum laude from Babson College (Massachusetts). There I received a Bachelor of Science with a double major in finance and marketing, and a concentration in communications. Professionally, my background spans finance, real estate, hospitality, training design, and corporate communication.

I hold a Highfield Level 5 Award in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Business English, a 120-Hour Advanced TEFL certification, and a 30-hour Advanced Grammar TEFL certification.

Through more than 1,000 coaching sessions with international professionals and students — from Poland, Germany, Israel, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Taiwan, and beyond — I have observed that most advanced English learners don't struggle with vocabulary. They struggle with the rhythm, clarity, and cultural fluency that makes their American English communication feel unnatural, and can create anxiety at work, in the classroom, and out in society. That is exactly what we'll address together.

I have worked extensively with Polish professionals in private online sessions and have been consistently impressed by the dedication, intelligence, and ambition of Polish learners. Poland's growing role in the global economy makes this work feel meaningful to me, and I look forward to being part of your student's journey.

Personally, I have three grown daughters all of whom have graduated from college. My oldest owns her own company, and was listed on the 2026 Forbes 30 Under 30 list; my middle daughter received a full scholarship to attend university and graduated in the top percentile of her high school and college class, and currently serves as the Creative Director for my oldest daughter's company; and my youngest graduated college magna cum laude and is a project manager for an international AI organization.

Groups for September 2026 are now forming. There will be a maximum of 8 students per group.

The enrollment process:

·         The application deadline and fee of $15USD (non-refundable) is required before August 20, 2026. *Application fee waived if received by July 15, 2026.

·         Cohort groups will be assigned based on the applications received. Your student's recommended day and time will be communicated via email by August 25, 2026. *If a student is not matched with a cohort group, private sessions may be available. More information will be provided.

Additional Payment Alerts:

·         A late payment fee of $15 will be assessed for any payment not received by the due date.

·         Participation in each session is restricted until payment is received, including any late fees applicable.

·         Sessions missed by the student are non-refundable. In the event that a session must be canceled (eg, due to a power outage), a makeup session will be scheduled.
